Another week, another donair tour stop! This week we were joined by Global news anchor, Carole-Anne Devaney. She loves to eat donairs, but claims not to be an expert in them. She’s never had a donair before 2AM before and couldn’t be more excited to dive into a Simon King donair recommended by one of her co-workers.
Simon King gave us a lot of things to be happy about, but the south-side donair shop also gave the team a few problems. As delicious as the donair tasted, the team dubbed it as a drunk donair. It wasn’t as clean and tightly wrapped as some prior donair shops, so the messiness of the donair makes it for a perfect drunk experience.
Have you ever ate at Simon King before Watch the video below and see if you agree. Please remember to comment below with your favourite donair shop and recommendation of where we should go next.
Previous Donair Tours
It is imperative that you go to SIR Donair on 142st and 118Ave. Delicious goodness. I will be there in 62 minutes
Last time I went there they shaved off the meat and threw it in the microwave. I don’t know if they still do that, but it really ruined the donair for me.
Try primetime donair as someone suggested before. There’s one on 104 Ave near Oliver square. You have options to take your donair out of the realm of “traditional” but you can have a traditional classic donair too. Would be interested to see what the on crew thinks about the place.
You have to check out Queen Donair in Nisku. The place has been there for years! An absolute must!
The Donair is decent, the facility is not.
I agree with you,Tony. It’s a hidden gem! The meat and sauce are made fresh in the restaurant. It’s different than the processed meat that other places order in bulk! It’s a must try Oilersnation!!!
Donair Express on 118th Ave and 86 Street. You won’t be disappointed.
Have to check out Basha donair
