It was a busy week for Oilers’ prospects across the hockey spectrum with good news on all kinds of fronts. The AHL Condors are finding the range and the junior scorers are ripping it up. Ziyat Paigin and the Oilers have parted ways, Paige Bednorz had the story here.

Remember the time we traded Matthew Barzal for Griffin Reinhart?
Given their drafting history they likely would have passed on Barzal and taken some other nonentity instead.
McDavid’s old jr line mate DeBrincat with the hatty tonight 10th of the season just another reminder of how bad this organization drafts. Wouldn’t those 10 goals a long way with this team and solidifying the right side.
** 10 goals GO along way.
Yes, that’s how it works.
I too wanted DeBrincat for this team at the time but Benson is coming around after his injury run. Fingers crossed he has and is turning the corner. Maybe we can wait a year and see where we are at before crapping on this pick as well?
I saw on a Buffalo site that they’re thinking of moving Eichel for Draisaitl and retaining $1 m/year. Any truth?
probably not but Eichel’s right-handed shot could be good for our team.
Whats up with Yamamoto? Hopefully he starts tearing it up soon.
Sometimes players take some time to settle back in after being sent down? I’m hoping that’s it anyway
What’s up with Dylan Wells? Two months ago we were talking about a dark horse to play goal for ?? at WJC.
This week he was outstanding: .967sv. I believe he’s still in the mix. He was lights out last year and if his last 2 starts are any indication, he is rounding into form.
Very nice to see our CHL goalies bounce back this past weekend – in particular Wells. He had been struggling for two-three weeks but got it together this weekend with back to back wins incluidng a high-save shutout.
Makismov is just lighting in up right and his coach is raving about him – keep it up Krill – we’ll see you in the NHL in a few years.
Loving me some Tyler Benson – that is a substantial prospect who is turning pro next year and may compete for an NHL job at camp – will likely see some Bakersfield time but I see a top 6 role in the NHL for this player – high ceili
Did the Oilers lose the rights to Czech goalie, Miroslav Svoboda?
Yes, they didn’t sign him within the 2 year window.
